Welcome

I have a B.A. in Chemistry from Whittier College, where I had some interesting opportunities to do RNA research and a forensic science project of narcotics on paper currency identification with a Raman Microspectrometer. After college, I earned my Single Subject Teaching Credential in Chemistry and Biology, and then my Masters in Education, both from Azusa Pacific University.  I taught Chemistry, Honors Chemistry, AP Chemistry, Physical Science, Biology, Earth Science and Physics at two local public schools before staying at home to raise my 3 kids. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending my time visiting National Parks, watercoloring, reading, playing piano and bird watching. I have learned even more about teaching since homeschooling my own kids for more than a decade , and I hope to bring a flexible, kinesthetic, creative and multisensory approach to my classes.  I have been teaching science enrichment classes for homeschoolers for 4 years.
